To ask another frequently asked question, is the signing in-person only, or can we place orders through the store?------------------ http://allthese worlds.hatbag.net/space.php "America's challenge of today has forged man's destiny of tomorrow." - Commander Eugene Cernan, Apollo 17 Mission, 11 December 1972 |

We expect to have additional photographs signed that we list on the website after the event. We may be able to start listing their (pre-) sale tomorrow or Friday, in which case I will post a link here. |

Alexander Poleschuk (Soyuz TM-16 / Mir-13) visited Rocket Town this past Saturday to sign autographs for collectors and our customers. It was great seeing faces familiar to collectSPACE as well as Rocket Town regulars. Poleschuk said he was impressed with some of the items that were brought in. For those not familiar, Poleschuk was training for an ISS flight as recently as Expedition 9, for which he served as a back-up. After Columbia, to quote him, he became "former". Today he leads Energia's EVA team, as well as their division responsible for IVA/EVA tool development and Soyuz recovery operations (during the search for Expedition 6, he was on-board a helicopter for 10 hours!). For those who could not attend, Poleschuk signed a limited number of photographs, which are now available for order through buySPACE. Both are 8x10 and show either his portrait or his interaction with the "Cosmic Dancer" sculpture aboard Mir. [This message has been edited by Robert Pearlman (edited February 13, 2005).] |

We cannot accept PayPal, however you can send a check or money order payable to "Countdown Creations" to: Rocket Town, 528 W. Bay Area Blvd., Suite 800, Webster, Texas 77598. Remember to include a letter that details which item(s) you are ordering and include payment for shipping (fees are outlined here). Orders are fulfilled on a first come, first serve basis, so if you are planning to submit a through the mail order, I suggest doing so soon. | |
