I don't know if it's genuine either but based on the information provided, it matches exactly with John Fabian.
http://www.space-explorers.org/bios/fabian.html The odds of someone else having exactly matching bio information (2 space flights, 96 combat missions, retired USAF Col, retired DoD think tank CEO) I would think would be very remote.
