John Young and Charlie Duke were both taking Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) traverse photos between Station 13 and the Lunar Module on Apollo 16's EVA-3. Young took frames 18672 to 18680 on Magazine 116. Duke took frames 18731 to 18800 on Magazine 117. Compare photos 116-18677 and 117-18794. |

Apollo 17 photo AS17-135-20541 shows Gene Cernan driving the LRV from the LM to the SEP site at the beginning of EVA-2.Wasn't the TV camera on for a few seconds pointing at Cernan as he was driving that short distance? Can't seem to find that brief clip. |

I remember only two or three brief TV sequences while the rover was moving. On those occasions, probably only during short trips, the picture only lasted a few seconds until the high-gain antenna lost its lock on the Earth. |

The antenna in 20541 does not seem to be pointed at Earth, which would be at top left somewhere. But I do recall seeing a brief but good view of Cernan bouncing around in his seat. |

EVA-2 photo 20541 and the clip I was referring to are very similar. Both show Cernan alone in the LRV driving west (up-sun) from the LM.However, I see that the clip was actually taken at the end of EVA-3 when Cernan drove the LRV to its final parking spot. The brief TV transmission can be seen at 169:59:40 in the ALSJ transcripts.
