I know CSM-102 never flew, but was it ever prepared for a specific mission? I have some assembly photos dated January 1967 and was wondering for which mission it was being prepared at that time.

Apollo CSM-102 is listed as "Pad 34 checkout vehicle" on A Field Guide to American Spacecraft. I am not aware that it was ever assigned a specific mission. The website also says the spacecraft was scrapped. However, I found a source (forgotten which) showing the SM is part of the Little Joe II /BP-22 display at JSC.

Thanks David, I was just wondering if it was earmarked for a specific mission when it was under construction, other than the testing it was eventually used for.
