I was recently contacted by a friend, not knowledgeable in space autographs, and prevented him from dumping a few grand on these too items. First, I'd like anyone's opinion who'd like to throw in. This is a fun exercise in spotting fakes as there's more than simply bad signatures. And, secondly — please pass the word, if you see these on — to run away as fast as you can.

I have seen many similar Armstrong forgeries. The forger is getting bolder. |

Where were these being sold? eBay? Or a dealer? |

An online auction dealer - I don't want to mention they're name - they do mostly rock and roll (and those are bad). |

I think we can all agree they're fakes. There's one thing I noticed I wonder if anyone else did? Nothing to do with the signature style. Thanks — this can be fun. And please spread the word! |

I didn’t realise Michael Collins was on Apollo VI. |

Actually, at Monday's signing event, we noticed that Collins' XI is starting more often to look like VI. The crossing point on the X is very low, and then the underscoring line blocks enough of the bottom to make it appear to be a V. |

How many people noticed the Jim Irwin in silver Sharpie? He died well before the silver Sharpie came out. |

Well James Lenin signed the second, but not the first. |
