If you aren't familiar with pinball machines, these older EM's (electro-mechanical's) are very touchy. They have mechanical contacts to go out of whack very easily and take only the slightest adjustment to make them work. Its a science/art kind of thing. There is plenty of info available to learn how to maintain it, but most likely you'll need a good expert on retainer. I have an awesome EM guy in MA who I could recommend and who would more than likely know some folks in other areas. There is a newsgroup and plenty of web sites I could recommend as well.
This machine will require some cosmetic/ physical work - like replacing all of the worn plastics, etc. The playfield is fair and simple - alot of pop bumpers but no drop targets to fix. The backglass is decent, requiring some minor touch-up. If there is flaking, you'll need to clear coat it.
It will also more than likely need a good mechanical going over. Parts are readily available, but it could cost more than the machine is selling for if you need to hire a pro. The good thing is that its only a single player, not multiple, which simplifies things.
I've asked the seller some questions about it's condition and will post here for anyone who might be interested. I would but except, it would never get past "the boss."
