Here's my new favourite :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2199585161&category=14438

Beside the fact that most signatures are Autopens I love the descripton :

"You will notice cost of postcard was 4 cents as a way of dating signatures."
Interesting approach !

"Autographs verified by experts in Manhattan."
Oh yes, my autographs are also verified by people on earth !

"Some astronauts died during take-off mishap"
Guess history needs to be rewritten here !

"and signatures can never be duplicated."
Since they are Autopen - why not ?? (if someone still has the patterns...)

Sh** there should be an exam before you start selling space autographs on ebay !

Florian

This one is on its third visit to eBay, I believe. I think it was originally listed at $1500, so on that basis if the seller relists it twice more it should be reduced to its real value of <$1 <ROFL>

From what I can see from the photo-scan, all are autopens except Glenn and Carpenter--but Shepard is a secretarial from the Mercury era
as I am positive of this, based on my opinion. In many instances, when we see a Mercury 7 signed piece from the early days--if the signatures are not all genuine--usually they fall into this category of Glenn and Carpenter being authentic whereas Shepard is either an autopen or secretarial.

All times are CT (US)
