Last night the crew of the STS-132 mission gave a presentation at Georgetown University.

The evening began with a slide show that included several spectacular views of places on Earth and of the ISS. However, as Steven Bowen explained about a view taken over the Gulf of Mexico, not all of the nice looking photos were the result of nice events taking place.

The crew then showed a short film. During the the launch of the Atlantis, the ET camera showed the ocean waves at the KSC shore as the shuttle climbed from the launchpad.

Next came a Q&A session. I asked what made up the two percent of the ISS that was still not completed, and was told by Dr. Sellers that the AMS and the MPLM that is going to be left attached to the ISS on the next flight make up most of the remaining two percent of the ISS.

I also asked Dr. Reisman if he had visited the new Yankee Stadium yet. He said that he had been at the game there this past Saturday.

Following the Q&A, four members of the crew graciously came out to the lobby and signed autographs while the other two crew members were giving media interviews. One of them was later able to join the four in the lobby during the signing session.

As with all of the fun events, the evening seemed to end too soon and the time came to head for home.

All times are CT (US)
