Well, here in Syracuse, there were some early clouds which threatened to make viewing difficult, but it has cleared up and the eclipse is absolutely beautiful. Unlike the eclipse last November, where the Moon just seemed to get a darker grey, this one is blood red. WAY cool. I can't believe our notoriously cloudy weather has cooperated the last two times! Anyone else watching? -C

Here's a quick photo from Virginia - nothing great, just a hand-held snapshot...

Cool picture James!

We just caught the last of it at sunset.

The eclipsed moon rising from the ocean was AWESOME

We had a telescope viewing event all ready to go here at the science center yesterday, but San Diego had some unusually large rainstorms and we had to cancel. Got some great personal views of it though - a beautiful deep red this time.

If you guys want to see the BEST view of the eclipse, check this out (from northeast Indiana)...

I shot this series with a Canon Digital Rebel and put it together in Photoshop.

Great photos - thanks for sharing!!!

My wife made the observation last night... "Wouldn't it be great to be standing on the Moon for this and looking back at Earth?" I had to agree with her...

Thanks to all who enjoyed the view from Indiana! It was a miracle we saw it at all. Weather was supposed to be overcast, but it turned out to be just a few scattered clouds. The city lights didn't even get in the way. I live barely a mile from downtown.

Great shots guys! It was crystal clear here in Florida, and cloudy on all the nights surrounding it (including tonight). What a miracle.

I'll post some of my photos separately.
