It was announced a couple of weeks ago that the X-Prize Awards Ceremony would be held at the ST. Louis Science Center on November 6th. Today, as a general member of the foundation I got an emailed invitation to attend the event....for a price. The entire Spacship One team will be there. The event will be held at 6pm and pricing is as follows:
>>>"Ground Control" @ $275 per ticket
>>>"Starship" @ $800 per couple
>>>"White Knight" @ $1500 per couple

I would love to go since I live in Missouri, but cannot afford it. The autograph potential is great though!

As a follow-up to the above message, I wanted to let everyone know that the actual X-Prize award will be given to the Scaled Composites team in a public ceremony to be held near the St. Louis science center. Afterward, during the day on Nov. 6th there will be autograph opportunities. Here is schedule of events per the SL Science Center:

"Ansari X PRIZE Rally and Ceremony
Time: 9:30am - 4:30pm CT
Location: St. Louis Science CenterŽ

Come celebrate the presentation of the ANSARI X PRIZEŽ with the nation, the community and the Science Center on Sat., Nov. 6, and meet the team that won the prize.

9:30 am Begin arriving at St. Louis University High School's athletic field (next to the Science Center) for the rally. Participate in fun hands-on activities, and meet some of the team members. Listem to the sounds of the Parkway West High School marching band as they "rev-up" the crowd prior to the ceremony.

10:30 am Watch the award presentation ceremony. The entire Scaled Composites Team will be in attendance to accept the giant $10 million dollar check

11:30 am- 4:30 pm Following the rally, visitors can be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime achievement all day at the Science Center. Autograph opportunities and photo opportunities with team members; see full size models of the various X PRIZE competition spacecraft; and participate in hands-on activities in the Science Center and Planetarium. Tickets to the special exhibition, SPACE, are half-price ($5) all day.

Black-tie dinner party, 5:30-10 pm
On Saturday evening, there is a ticketed, more formal celebration and dinner to honor the team. Seating is limited. Please see the "party icon" by the XPRIZE on our web site home page."

Sounds cool!
Pat
