Way cool. I'm not much of a patch collector, but that's definitely tops on my list of likes. |

Nice patch. I hope this one will executed in embroidery larger than 4 inch. Otherwise, the names might be even a bigger challenge than was already the case in Expedition-38...

Yes, the embroidered patch will definitely be larger than the 4" scale. It will be around 5 1/4" in height. The prototype looks excellent! |

Really cool patch. First thought was 2001: A Space Odyssey for some reason. Might be the planetary body alignment. Can't wait to get this one. |

Blake I just wanted to say that I really love your sense of design, in terms of composition, the use of unique and unusual shapes and even your color pallet. Your designs are refreshingly different and help to add variety to our "collections". |

I agree. Blake's time has come. His work is on par with McCall and his ability to think " outside the patch" has enabled some incredibly creative designs. I can learn from this. With my designs, I begin with a shape and fill it in. It's not right or wrong, it just is. Blake creates the scene that draws the viewer in-the shape is decided once the design is complete. I thought 36 was outstanding, but I like this one more. I can't wait to see the patch. |

NASA has put the artwork at photo galery with below description:ISS041-S-001 (July 2013) --- The Expedition 41 crew members have released their patch and have written some text to go along with it: “Portraying the road of human exploration into our vastly unknown universe, all elements of the Expedition 41 patch build from the foundation, our Earth, to the stars beyond our solar system. The focus of our six-month expedition to the International Space Station (ISS) is Earth and its inhabitants as well as a scientific look out into our universe. The distinguishing ISS solar arrays reach onward and serve as the central element, with the icon of an atom underneath representing the multitude of research onboard that will bring new discoveries for the benefit of humanity. The sun is rising over Earth’s horizon, spreading its light along the road of human exploration. Equipped with the knowledge and inspiration gained from ISS, our successful multinational cooperation will lead human space exploration to the moon, Mars, and ultimately, the stars. We are Expedition 41. Join us for the adventure. |

I think the patch came out well. Worth getting. I like that it is not round. Uses the light blues and silver well. |
