Here are some pictures of a friend's 23 foot V-2 rocket. He is the most gifted builder I have ever known.

The first shots in that gallery are of the V2 that at the time was at Aberdeen Proving Ground. I used to jog by that thing almost every morning when I was stationed there...

It seems that they were painted this way when they were used here in NM. I found this.
