There is a project here in Italy that is at a very early stage, with my friend Luigi. The key idea is to build an Apollo Command/Service Module (CSM) and Lunar Module (LM) block, in 1/6 scale, which depict a still-to-be-chosen flight.

This involves the same team who built the 1/1 Casper capsule you have seen in the pictures on Collectionspace.it and also on this website, in the related thread.

I can say for now that the 1/6 LM it's to be coupled with a 1/6 CSM, as a part of a big space exibithion we want to set up for 2015 World Expo in a location very close to Malpensa Airport, near Milano.

These two big models are only a little part of a list of models, the others are a surprise...

The Museum of Flight in Seattle has a really good 1/6 scale LM and rover model on display in their space gallery.

This is the same reason we ended up choosing 1/6 scale, because we have some 1/6 astronaut figures we can use as crew members. In the beginning I proposed 1/10 scale, then Luigi showed up with those massive figures... and here I am.

By the way, both models you indicated me are impressive, our intention is to show them docked together, as they were during the trip to the moon.

We still have to choose which mission to show, maybe we will end up with Apollo 11 or Apollo 17.

All times are CT (US)
