Section Two: Astronaut Artifacts
'Earthrise' Personalized by Bill Anders

In December 1968, the Apollo 8 crew became the first to witness 'Earthrise' from lunar orbit. This image of the Earth above the Moon became one of the most widely-printed photos in all of history, even appearing on a U.S. stamp.
For years afterwards, the crew jokingly teased each other over who had captured the famous photo. It was in fact William "Bill" Anders, who at the urging and assistance of his crew mate James Lovell, took two color photographs.
The winner of this lot will receive a stunning 16" by 20" print of Earthrise, personalized and authentically signed by its photographer, Apollo 8 astronaut Bill Anders.
The above autograph is intended only as an example. The actual print and signature offered will differ in appearance.
