Section Two: Astronaut Memorabilia Lot 020: Paul Weitz's "Maggots" Class and STS-13 "Black Cat" Patches A pair of rare, embroidered insignias from the personal collection of Skylab and Shuttle astronaut Paul Weitz: A 1984 astronaut class "Maggots" patch that refers to the nickname assigned to the group by member Bill Shepherd. An extremely rare STS-13 "Black Cat" patch -- reportedly less than 20 of these were produced -- that refers to the superstitously unlucky original numbering of mission STS-41C (Challenger). The red names on the patch refer to the STS-41C crewmembers Bob "Crip" Crippen, Francis "Dick" Scobee, Terry J. "TJ" Hart, James "Ox" van Hoften and George "Pinky" Nelson.
