The American Space Museum with Bid Again Auctions has posted our newest auction to be held live Aug. 29, 2026 at 12:00 Noon EDT.Featuring rare Apollo 1/AS-204 accident investigation detailed capsule interior photographs. A collection of 18 in one lot. A very nice red-numbered Apollo 1 crew signed photograph along with some great SpaceX and Apollo-flown items. 388 lots of great memorabilia. |

Lot 61 features the only known photo of Neil Armstrong on the lunar surface.One of the rarest photographs of the Apollo program showing Neil Armstrong standing next to the Lunar Module Eagle. There is masking tape around the edge of the photo but it could be easily matted or possibly restored. Take a look. |

Chuck, it is a desirable Hasselblad photo, but it is not the only one of Neil Armstrong on the surface. It is the only full body shot of the first moonwalker on the lunar surface. There is also this Hasselblad shot, where you can see Armstrong's name tag on his PLSS backpack as he moves past the camera:  |
