I came across a post about this on Ed Gibson's LinkedIn page yesterday; I'd not heard anything about it before. Does anyone know anything about this book? |

I hope someone responsible for publication picks up on the fact that Jack Schmitt has written a "Foreword" not a "Forward." |

David, I had the absolute privilege to be asked by Dr Gibson to consult him on the book. It is a heartfelt encapsulation of the US Space Program told from the perspective of an astronaut. Dr Gibson was more than just a Skylab Scientist Pilot. He was a crucial support team member of Apollo 12, and his writings show his intimate knowledge of how it was back in the golden era of NASA's space exploration. He offers the newbie, and the hard core space historian an intimate insight into what made the USA the leader in space exploration. He offers his views on the direction that the USA must take in order to maintain their leadership in space exploration. His book is without a doubt, an essential addition to any space lover's bookshelf. But I am biased... | |
