I just watched "Camp Confidential: America's Secret Nazis," short animated documentary on Netflix about Operation Paperclip. It combines animation with actual footage and interviews to tell the story of how German scientists and engineers were secretly moved to the United States after the war. Camp Confidential, known as PO Box 1142, was a highly classified black op facility which housed such notables as spymaster Reinhard Gehlen and rocket scientist Wernher von Braun. Those in charge of the base were tasked with maintaining a baseline quality of life for the inmates, leading to bizarre scenes (at a department store) and big questions. I found it to be a very interesting documentary, has anyone else seen it? | |
