'2 Funny Astronauts': NASA vets Mike Massimino and Garrett Reisman launch new podcast

Mike Massimino and Garrett Reisman are quick to clarify the title of their new podcast. The two NASA veterans want their listeners to know they are not two "funny guys."

"We're not funny guys, we're funny astronauts!" the two say, almost in unison.

"We don't want people thinking we're boasting that we are funny. We're not. That's not what we are saying," insists Massimino. "We're funny for astronauts."

Whatever they are, their banter inspires plenty of laughter in "2 Funny Astronauts," launching on Wednesday (May 5). The weekly podcast will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube, with other online services to follow.

Anyone know if this podcast will ever resume or has it come to a sudden end? The last episode posted was back in November.

I talked to Mass about it in late February, and he said they planned to continue it.

Have been watching the videos on YouTube, they are funny and well worth watching. It further reinforces that they are down to Earth people that have had awesome experiences and I thank them for sharing.

There are a couple on respect or lack of it. Some prelaunch stories, an hilarious one featuring Garrett's mother (shame on you Garrett). The ones where they bring in other guests are great too.

Now they need to include some female astronauts for another perspective.

Keep up the great work Mike and Garrett.
