The two finalists in the Die Astronautin competition to launch the first German woman into space, Suzanna Randall and Insa Thiele-Eich (the latter the daughter of ESA astronaut Gerhard Thiele), have written a children's book.

Unser Weg ins Weltall (Our Way Into Space)
by Suzanna Randall and Insa Thiele-Eich

Fly to the stars with Insa and Suzanna!

Eleven German men have been in space so far. Now it's finally a woman's turn! Thanks to the "Die Astronautin" initiative, two German women are preparing for a research mission to the ISS for the first time: Dr. Insa Thiele-Eich and Dr. Suzanna Randall let the children take part in the greatest adventure of their lives, tell them about their exciting training and plunge into exciting parabolic flights with the readers. As role models, they arouse enthusiasm for science and technology, especially among girls. And the journey into space continues when the astronauts report in Volume 2 about their flight with the ISS.

Learn to read like a rocket with the reading starters from Oetinger. With strong characters and popular themes, children between the ages of five and ten will love reading — plus there are lots of pictures, great games and reading puzzles.
