Apollo 50

A limited edition run of 50 prints to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11.

To mark the historic landing of Apollo 11 — this print will be available to buy from 13:32 UK Time (BST) / 08:32 Eastern Time (One hour before the 50th anniversary of the first landing).

Beautifully printed in Metallic Gold and Lunar Grey on white paper with an overlay of "Interference Gold" to pull out the Earth, Moon and Apollo 11 track line.

This special finish changes depending on light direction and viewing position - transforming from nearly completely transparent to a shimmering pearlescent gold.

This is a one-time limited special edition of my classic Apollo design. Each copy is signed and numbered.

About the print:

A visual history of every manned Apollo flight, charting one of mankind's greatest achievements all the way from Kennedy's 'We choose to go to the Moon' speech to Armstrong's 'One Small Step' and beyond.

The Apollo missions have always fascinated me - the sheer determination and bravery required to carry out what still seems like the impossible in today's world, yet alone using technology of that era. With this print I've tried to map out the major milestones, from the speech that started it all, following a timeline as each incremental mission got closer and closer through to the actual landings themselves. I've hidden a couple of easter eggs in there too for true space nerds.
