Moonshots: 50 Years of NASA Space Exploration Through the Lens of Hasselblad
by Piers Bizony
Working with NASA’s archives of Hasselblad images, aerospace author Piers Bizony presents the ultimate must-have large-format book, Moonshots. The Apollo voyages form the centerpiece of the book, but equally fabulous images from precursor Gemini missions are also featured, along with pictures taken by Space Shuttle crews, and during construction of the International Space Station.

The extraordinary photographs taken by NASA astronauts over the past fifty years were captured almost exclusively on Hasselblad cameras. Many of these images have been reproduced, but there’s one element that has seldom been exploited: the sheer size and resolution of the film frames.

Just in time for the 50 year anniversary of the USA’s first orbit of the moon, this incredible collection is a must have for any space enthusiast, or sci-fi lover.

Can't wait to compare which one I own. Bizony is a great author, including two books on Yuri Gagarin. Anticipating great things.

I'm curious to see how it differs from NASA's Apollo Program: VII-XVII.

For info on the cameras, try to get the 1970 Hasselblad booklets (printed in Sweden with photos by Bo Timback). Among others, amazing photos showing how four Hasselblad 500EL cameras were mounted in a cluster at the window of the CSM hatch!
