Last year, I posted a link for a free PDF of my Mission Steps To The Moon calendar. I got some helpful feedback, for which I'm grateful.This years' edition can be downloaded from my Tumblr blog. This year, I was able to save my allowance and have a few printed up. I'm trying to send these copies to museums (Armstrong Museum, for one) and other places that might be interested. Turns out I will have a few copies left over. If you'd like a complimentary copy, or know someone who'd like a copy, let me know. I'll get back to via email for further details. Don't know how many requests I can fulfill, but give it a shot! Update: Both links now are only PDF files, suitable for everybody! |

Fun stuff!!! Thank you for making these neat calendars!!!Here's another variant of "Steps to the Moon". It's the Apollo 12 flowchart showing steps that were needed to build/prepare the Saturn V AS 507, CSM 108 and LM 6 for liftoff.  |

I'd love a copy as well! Let me know if you'll have one available, and I'll send my mailing address. Let me know how much you'll need for postage...I tried to download the digital hi-res copy, and it links to an .exe file through Mega. Shouldn't the downloadable file be a PDF? |

Very nice!Interesting that between 14th and 17th of March you have such a big cluster of birthdays (Borman, Cernan, Bean, Cunningham, Irwin and Mattingly). |

I've been contacting the museums via e-mail, but as I don't know whom exactly to address it to, I'm afraid the notes will end up in the recycle pile. If anybody has any leads they could share, I'd appreciate it immensely.The Armstrong Museum is on the mailing list, as are a few writers (like Portree and Amy Teitel). The more eyes that see this the better, maybe I can really sell this next year and actually make a couple of bucks. |

Let me try to clear up some confusion about the file you are trying to download.Yes, it's a self extracting EXE file (AV tested). It contains the PDF and a readme file on how to print the calendar properly. You don't need to install any Mega software. There should be a link below the shiny buttons that will allow you to download via your browser. I've tested it on Firefox and Chrome (don't know about Macs, though). If you're running a Javascript blocker (like I do) you will have to temporarily allow the website access. They're good folks and I haven't had any problems in the past. If you're still having problems, shoot me an email from my profile and I'll send the file to you directly. Make sure your e-mail can accept a 15MB file! I'll add this info to the Tumblr page. |

The .exe file is a Windows executable. It is not Mac compatible. I don't know if installing the Mega software offers a workaround for that, but you might want to post the individual PDF and readme files for those who cannot open .exe files. |

Thanks! I could have used the .exe file but my anti-virus software told me to get the hell out of there! I don't have any reason to believe the file is corrupted but better be safe than sorry.Cool calendar! I wonder if a space shuttle version could be done (too much info!). |

It was logical to stop with Apollo 17. Thought about adding Skylab, but the confusion with what NASA called the missions and what the astronauts' patches said — and the fact that nothing "exciting" happened (calendar-wise) would've meant looong lines that wouldn't have much to tell.Yes, way too many shuttle flights to even think about! Plus, quite a few crossed over the New Year, making it even more of a spaghetti mess. |

Thanks for the kind words. These first calendars were actually misprints - they are supposed to be single-sided. These I'm calling "flip and turn," while the normal ones are "flip-over" style. Same printing.If anybody spots something wrong, please let me know so that next years' will be better (and, hopefully for sale). Update: Like the color-coding on the "holiday" dates. Some are mixed up. Forgot to change that style when the dates moved. Luckily, I picked a color too close to the "regular" dates, so it's not quite so noticeable (except to me, of course!) |

To everybody who downloaded a copy of my 2016 Mission Steps... calendar:During the update process from the 2016 to 2017 calendar, I noticed a serious, intolerable error on the December page. Not a tiny oops, but rather a major "WTF" error: I put Apollo 17's time line bars from 12/5 to 12/17, when most of us know that it actually ran from 12/7-12/19 (heck even the highlight box has the correct date). Not sure if I will continue with the 2017 calendar at this point. All the time and money invested in getting the calendar printed and sent to some very important people now appears a total waste. I have posted a correction page that you can download, if you wish. And, in an extreme act of karma from the universe, today I received "The Last Man On The Moon" movie — yeah, Apollo 17 gets the last laugh! Thanks for your interest on my little project that I thought would be a unique way to highlight our space program. I'm just devastated over this error and will retreat now in an attempt to heal this self-inflicted wound |

Tom, I hate to point out one additional error, but I thought you might want to know. On the December highlight box, it does have the right date for the start of the mission, 12/7 but you have it ending on 12/17 not 12/19. That being said, don't be discouraged by a single mistake. It is a great calendar and I really appreciate it and you for sending me one. This one flaw does not mar the overall effect and the the little smile I get every month when I turn the page. It is easy to miss one detail. You asked us for feedback if we saw anything wrong, and nobody apparently caught it either. You are a one person show I imagine with no proof readers so a mistake can get by. Don't give up on your project. Again thanks for my calendar. |

Tom, this is truly a labor of love, for what we all have a passion for at cS. Very cool! I found two additional typos: at the top right on the April page - Kerwin's last name as CapCom is misspelled. Glynn Lunney's first name is misspelled on the photo of Mission Controllers at the bottom of the August page. That being said, I am awfully impressed with your very nice calendar. It's still a keeper in my book. |

Tom, I've got the printed calendar you sent me prominently displayed on my office wall next to my desk where I can conveniently check dates and in my spare time read the details and admire the pictures. I hope to make this an annual tool/decoration in my office and hope you'll be able to continue your efforts. Please know that anyone who has this calendar loves it and appreciates all your work. |

Thanks everybody for the encouragement.I'm thankful that it's still being viewed with such nice comments. I took down the links to the calendar and fixed Dec PDF. If you need a copy of the Dec PDF, let me know and I'll send you the file. I've mapped out a future for the time-line concept, probably a new web presence that will feature each mission with its own year-specific mini calendar, in both US time zone and UTC (per David Woods' great suggestion). And, maybe, a 2017 calendar, which needs a new name — suggestions? When this is ready, I'll let you all know and be more of a participant around here. |
