On Monday (June 1), National Geographic Channel will debut its new miniseries American Genius:
Behind every great genius was a great rival — an unstoppable adversary whose incredible vision, determination, and ambition is their match. Out of their struggles came the world's most brilliant inventions, the spoils of the heated battle between competitors.

Now, in a stunning 8-part mini-series, the ultimate rivals for posterity clash. Will they lose everything or triumph over their rivals to be forever remembered in the annals of history? American Genius reveals the fateful forces behind the greatest competitions for innovation. Their conflict plays out on the most epic and human of scales, pitting history's brightest minds against each other, in the race to lay claim to the future.

The series' first episode explores the rivalry between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Other match-ups include Edison vs. Telsa, the Wright brothers vs. Curtiss, and Colt vs. Wesson.

On June 15, the episode "Space Race" will premiere:

America and the Soviet Union, deadlocked in the Cold War, set their sights on the final frontier — space. Go inside the more than decadelong struggle between the two superpowers as they both set out to conquer the moon. German scientist Werner Von Braun leads the charge for the U.S. and Sergei Korolev for the Soviets, but in the race to space, only one side can get there first.

Did anyone else watch the series this week on the Space Race? So many errors it was laughable, like a car wreck that I could not look away from. Most glaring was when they named Tom Kelly as the "inventor" of LOR, even being verified by none other than Andrew Chaikin? Did they pay him to say this?
