Does anyone remember a sixteen page newspaper supplement, put out by North American Aviation, describing the Saturn V and the Apollo 4 mission? It was in color and printed on semi-slick magazine paper.I recently ran across two copies, one from the Chicago Tribune and the other did not have the name of the newspaper, but was printed on high quality paper that has not yellowed over the years. It appears to have been included in the 5 November 1967 Sunday newspaper, prior to Apollo 4's launch. It had a title, "The First of the Big Shots." |

I remember a while back someone was looking for the newspaper supplement about Apollo 4 titled "First of the Big Shots." I've come across a pdf document and would be happy to send a copy via email.Editor's note: Threads merged. |

If you have a subscription to Newspapers.com, you will find it in the October 1, 1967 Chicago Tribune. It starts on Page 141, but is in black and white. |

"First Of The Big Shots" was included as a Sunday edition supplement by many major newspapers across the United States in the days before the launch of Apollo 4. Ours arrived tucked inside either The Detroit News or The Detroit Free Press. | |
