An article in The Atlantic talks of NASA's huge selection of free eBooks.
From old favorites like The Difficult Road to Mars: A Brief History of Mars Exploration in the Soviet Union and Wind Tunnels of NASA to experimental work like Aerospace Food Technology and Life in the Universe: Proceedings of a conference held at NASA Ames Research Center Moffet Field, California, June 19-20, 1979, this is one of the best collections of space arcana you're likely to find.
Here is a NASA's page itself. It's very good of NASA that all formats are supported.

These books were placed online over the last decade, so some of the formatting leaves something to be desired.
That's for sure but back then there were not that many options... And if it had not been that time-consuming, I would have gladly placed more books (if I had access to more NASA SP, EP or others).

Just my two cents helping out (I guess I can talk for David Woods, who started placing books online).

All times are CT (US)
