I am trying to find a picture of a particular painting of a shuttle launch at night, viewed from 3/4 above. The original is at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and last time I saw it, was exhibited near the entrance of the IMAX theaters.It was used sometime during the 90's as an Aviation Week cover; can anyone help me? |

I believe you are referring to "Lightship," by Attila Hejja. There is one on eBay right now for $55.

Thanks guys, but that isn't the one. The one I mean is looking down onto the shuttle from above, showing exhaust dynamically streaming across the launch platform. |

Per suggestion from Steve Garber, the painting could be the painting published on p110 of the book NASA/Art: 50 Years of Exploration (Abrams, 2008).I've emailed lucspace about this. |
