Does anyone know if the CBS News program "Space Shuttle: $14 Billion Question Mark" that aired before the first shuttle flight is available anywhere?
I remember watching it as a kid, and I think it was Mike Wallace who asked John Young if the shuttle would even fly. I would love to see this program again.

The Vanderbilt Television News Archive has this special news broadcast archived and available upon request.

Thanks! Unfortunately, it looks like they would charge me $200 for this

Finally this has been posted by someone on YouTube, I remember watching this 40 years ago before the Shuttle first flew. So cool to watch it now after the program has been completed.

Fascinating, honest and prophetic. I wish this standard of reporting had continued with the shuttle as it might have prevented the chain of mistakes leading to Challenger.

You know it was important if they didn’t show Knott’s Landing.
