Thanks Philip. Any idea where this is available? Amazon lists a 10 year anniversary pamphlet from 1979 but not this book.

Hasselblad also has a section about the space cameras on their website.

From the author's post on Club Hasselblad:
Being a collector of Hasselblad cameras for years, I naturally became interested in Hasselblad cameras used by the NASA for the Conquest of the Moon.

During my initial search, I quickly noticed that documentation related to these cameras was scarce and mostly incomplete.

So I started to collect cameras, lenses, photographs, instruction leaflets and all the data I could gather about Hasselblad and the NASA.

After many years of research, here is the result: a book titled "Hasselblad and the Moon" which, hopefully, will help you get a better understanding of these wonderful Hasselblad cameras used by the NASA.

This book is written in English and in French. There are 5 chapters:

  • The conquest of the Moon
  • The Hasselblad firm
  • Hasselblad cameras used by the NASA for the conquest of the Moon during Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions between 1968 and 1972
  • Replicas made by Hasselblad for its own advertising
  • Photographs taken in space and on the Moon showing Hasselblad cameras, astronauts training with Hasselblad cameras and Hasselblad cameras in Museums
I hope you will enjoy reading this book as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

Price: 49 euros. 168 pages and 133 photographs.
