I was in Barnes & Noble today and noticed they have complete reprints of the New York Times from Monday, July 21 1969. They are in plastic wrap. Just a heads up for fellow cS'ers. The price is $9.98. |

The New York Times site has it for $18, but Barnes & Noble has a better deal at $8 right here.It appears to be the same item if you compare the descriptions. |

The shipping to order online is $3.99, unless you get your order total over $25. I went to BN.com, found the item, then seached by zipcode for local stores having the newspaper in stock. The price is $9.98 at the stores. |

I got my NY Times reprint at Barnes & Noble yesterday, and though it is very cool, the photo reproduction is pretty bad. All of the articles are readable, but back before my original copy was ruined (long story), I remember the photo reproduction to be quite good.It makes me wonder if the NY Times store edition is a better reproduction. Nothing beats the look, feel and smell of the real thing, however. |

I was also at Barnes and Noble yesterday and was disappointed in the quality of the reprint. |

Has anyone gotten the one sold by the NY Times store?I'd get one if the quality of the photo reproduction is better. |

If one's interested, the New York Times is selling a limited edition (limited to 300) repro of their front page when Apollo 11 landed, authentically signed by Aldrin (but also coming with a limited edition medallion as well.) Cost? $795. |
