What do you get when your cross Space Chimps with Fly Me To The Moon 3D and Ratatouille? Why Star Dogs Belka and Strelka, of course!

Belka, a circus dog, dreams of flying under the big top. Strelka, a mongrel, thinks only of where she can find one more bone. Her friend rat Lenya helps her in this earthly business at the utmost extent of his ability, but he remains an incorrigible romantic deep inside. When Strelka and Lenya organize one more wild-cat venture to get something to eat, a circus rocket falls down on them with the beautiful Belka. This accidental meeting is where the world's history of space exploration began...
The official website for Star Dogs, produced by Russia's Center of National Film, includes an English-language trailer, gallery and film synopsis. Star Dogs is scheduled to open in Russian theaters in December 2009.

I am beside myself with delight at all of these space animal movies. But, Robert, my Russian is a little rusty. Where on their web page did you see a link to an English language trailer?

At the bottom of the screen, between the two animated dials on the right, there is a switch that has a Soviet flag above it and the U.S. flag below. "Flick" that switch and the entire website will be translated into English, including the narration for the trailer...

Found it. It looks great. Pretty nifty web site, too. What are the chances they'll do an English language version? I e-mailed them to find out. I'll let you know what I learn.

I got a fast response, but nothing new to report:
I`m very glad to know about interest to our film in US

Now film "Star dogs Belka and Strelka" is in production.

Russian release date is 31.12.2009

Our film studio hope about success "Belka and Strelka" in Russia, and after that foreign film companies will buy rights for US or others countries.

Now you can see web site www.belka-i-strelka.ru

You`ll see flag of USA - english version!

Thanks!
