A trio of museums and organizations (if not more) have debuted commemorative designs celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik and the space age:

World Space Week

Designed by space artist Pat Rawlings (SAIC), World Space Week's poster can be purchased for $4 each.

Frontiers of Flight Museum

Designed by artist Detlev van Ravenswaay, posters are $16.95 each, plus $3.50 domestic shipping (Texas residents add $1.40 sales tax). For international shipping, please contact the museum. To order, e-mail sales@flightmuseum.com and a museum representative will reply with details.

Kansas Cosmosphere

The Cosmosphere will be producing posters, T-shirts and polos shirts with this design. For more information, see: www.cosmo.org

Another Sputnik-inspired poster:

Association of Space Explorers

The official poster of the XX Planetary Congress, ASE will offer the print signed by the event's astronaut and cosmonaut attendees for $200 starting in October.

Northern Virginia Community College

Courtesy Beverly Blois, Dean of the Humanities Division at Northern Virginia Community College, comes this poster for their event on October 2 featuring Sergei Khrushchev and Paul Dickson. Created specifically for promotional purposes, the poster's artist is Mario Brathwaite, a graduate of the college's graphic design program.

All times are CT (US)
