To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Apollo 12 mission to the moon, the crew commissioned a comic book drawn by the fabled Alfredo Alcala to get across their experiences to a wider audience. The result is a superb visual story of the Apollo 12 flight. The pages of this unique publication can be viewed online at; http://www.flickr.com/photos/avisolo/sets/72157594503007176/ Keith |

Did you say 'fabled'? I found the quality of his artwork a bit disappointing, to be honest. The idea for the publication is nice, though. I have two versions of this book, large and small. Ed |

Was the Flickr site put together by the artist or is it violating the copyright of the author, artist and publisher?Chris, to answer your question, Moon Shot was published in 1994 by Pepper Pike Graphix, Inc. It was written by D.C. Agle. |

It looks like it is a fan of the artist who has set up the site on Flickr and so it would appear that this is a copyright infringement. I've contacted the person responsible to see if they received permission to post these images. The artist, Alfredo Alcala, died on April 8, 2000. |

This comic was included in the "Heroes of Space" action figure set that Bandai did many years ago. The set featured Pete Conrad, Alan Bean and Charlie Duke (reasonably good likenesses, actually)in their lunar EVA suits. Kay Bee Toys was selling this set at a very low price, and I bought a bunch of them. |
