Yeah, definitely, I lived through Apollo, yet these discs show me a lot of stuff I missed, took me two weeks to get through Apollo 17! |

Dennis, I agree 100% with Mark and Derek. Do yourself a favour and buy the DVD sets for Apollos 15, 16 and 17. On Apollo 17, look for what you might call "the Last Picture Show" : live TV from the command module as it comes around the edge of the Moon on the way home, showing features on the lunar far-side. You can see the almost full Moon visibly shrinking as Apollo 17 heads home. Wonderful stuff! |

I picked up a copy of the Fox version of Gemini, Apollo 8 and Apollo 11 when I was across in September and they are great. I will pick the other up when I'm across again next year or if I'm lucky convince the inlaws who are going across in early December for Christmas presents! My question is what are the plans for Apollo 12? Or will that just show the Capricorn One hanger. Sorry couldn't resist... |

Yes, Mark, what are the plans for Apollo 12?Actually, I've also asked Mark about that, and he indicates that plans are underway, and it'll be included as well (hopefully soon). |

Well, for Apollo 12 we ARE renting this giant hangar, getting some suits from global effects, gunking up the image a bit and proclaiming it "the lost television transmissions from Apollo 12" AKA "the camera didn't really burn." At a minimum this will provide some additional footage for Bart Sibrel to release a new video PROVING that the Apollo 12 moonlanding was faked (and he'll have the LOST footage to prove it).Actually, the plan is to reconstruct the EVA using everything we can assemble. We will use the existing 16mm film, the first 58 minutes of TV, the 70mm, plus EVA training footage to reconstruct it along with the audio. I expect it to be a 3 disc set, similar to Apollo 11, with disc 1 launch, training, suitup, etc., disc 2 the EVA, and disc 3 trip back, recovery, etc. Actually I am really looking forward to doing it because it will be a challenge. Look for it in 2004. |

Are The Mighty Saturns: Saturn V being re-released or is the one on Spacecraft Films' website the most current? |

The Saturn V on the site is only available outside the United States and Canada. A new version is being released soon. The primary differences in the versions will be audio, just like the other new versions. As much as I would like it to be (it is a VERY popular set), the new version will not be out before Christmas. |

Mark, on the subject of the Walter Cronkite broadcast of the Apollo 4 Saturn 5 launch, I have just watched my video recording of a BBC documentary broadcast on 28th June, 1994, called "One Small Step." It was the first of a two-part documentary covering the 25th anniversary of Apollo 11. Both parts were introduced by Neil Armstrong. During the first part, there is extensive (approx 7 minutes) coverage of the Apollo 4 mission. There is a brief (live TV) shot of Cronkite talking to the camera before the launch, and audio of Cronkite's commentary during the launch (with footage of the launch). Cronkite's voice gets very excited and he tells how the prefabricated studio is shaking and falling apart around him. The rattling of the walls around him is clearly heard on the audio over Cronkite's voice. Is this the missing broadcast you couldn't locate? Perhaps it can be traced by the people who used it to make the 1994 documentary. If you want details of the documentary (producer, film editor, etc) please E-mail me off-site. |

Mark, may I just add that 12 months ago I thought I'd give the Apollo 11 set a try. I was so impressed then that I decided to pace my purchases to 1 every 2-3 months. Well what a crock that was as I now have all the stuff you guys have produced!! Including the Aircraft Films material - looking forward to more of those!!!With regards to Apollo 12, I have managed to scrounge very low res footage, and just by combining all the available stuff there is no doubt about a 3 disc set (made an interim "2-DVD set" myself to balance out the Apollo dvd shelf). Also, the Apollo 13 stuff should be great as well. I would also love to see the combined remainder Apollo missions and I'm sure the sets will be just great. All jokes aside about Sibrel, I reckon a Spacecraftfilms de-bunking DVD set would be fantastic! |

I've got 4 sets now! My Gemini dvd set arrived yesterday. I now have the older non-fox Apollo 14 set, and the newer Apollo 11, Apollo 8 and Gemini now. Cool stuff, thanks for the great job on the videos Mark! |

Thanks for the kind words. 2004 will be a good year, seeing the 6-disc sets on 15/16/17 out, along with Saturn V and Apollo 13, at least (probably 2 others will also come out)...I plan on Apollo 12 being a 3 disc set. The Apollo 13 set will be 3 discs. I have many, many reels of MOCR material that is being assembled, as well as the usual training (it is weird to see Lovell and Haise during EVA training!), checkout, rollout, suitup, recovery, etc. also, all the onboards and the complete TV transmissions (TD&E and the broadcast just before the explosion). Should be a neat set. Down the road we're redoing Apollo 14, plus we'll be doing 7, 9 and 10. Eventually there will be a set for each Apollo mission. We'll be doing Skylab as its own set, and Mercury will be a 3 disc set just like Gemini. Beyond that we will address unmanned probes, and go into the development of the Shuttle. Thanks to everyone who supported us in 2003! Lots more to do! |

Santa arrived with the three that I had asked her for. Wonderful wife! Wonderful gifts. What a fabulous experience, to witness these events again with such clarity. Superb job, very well done. As a film person, I was amazed at what you digital folks can do. Got goose bumps over and over again. The audio loops in 5:1 is quite impressive. Thanks for doing such a great job. I look forward to having them all in my collection. What a great way to preserve the history. I just can't say enough, so I'll just shut up now. |
