I just wondered if much of collectors registered here are member of BIS or read their international monthly magazine "Spaceflight" , which is a superb monthly on Manned & Unmanned Spaceflight alike ...
The upcoming APRIL 2002 number is amazing with both articles on Gunter WENDT, Dr von BRAUN and our first Belgian astronaut Dr Dirk FRIMOUT ...
It certainly looks like BIS ( British Interplanetary Society ) is trying to make some 'specials' as the last few monthlies had articles concentrated on the Space Shuttle hardware or the ISS or even Unmanned space-missions which are mostly forgotten!
This april looks like a NASA Engineer special in some way ... Would like to hear from US ( & other ) collectors here what they think of the new "Spaceflight" magazine !!!

I am not a member of BIS, but I buy the magazine regularly at the newsstand and usually enjoy it. Especially the early stuff is of great interest to me (actually I am obsessed with Apollo!).

The latest magazine ( Vol 44 N0 4 = April 2002 ) is tremendous; Great article on the second space tourist ( space participant ) Mark SHUTTLEWORTH, interview with Dennis TITO by Francis French, space history items on legendary 'Pad Leader' Guenter WENDT (showing him with Tom Hanks for the making of Apollo 13), the legacy of Dr von Braun, etc ... Truly a great buy ... certainly a must read for newcomers!
