I have received this months photo, a great shot, he looks rather relaxed in that shirt.

I received my package with Dr. Jeff Hoffman's picture and was happy to see that my accompanying letter was in fact hand signed, as was the photo.

Dr. Hoffman's signature looks to me like an ECG tracing with a lot of spikes above and below the baseline. For some of the earlier space covers I have signed by him he used a rubberstamp of his name in block letters to identify his peculiar signature.

It was generous of him to sign at least some of the ASF letters (as did Bob Crippen and Scott Carpenter in the past).

The folks at AAC did a good job getting out the product despite tropical storm Fay. Just received a nice photo signed by Dan Brandenstein during his STS-49 mission. Nice patriotic "theme". One of my favorite shuttle astronauts. Thanks AAC!

Best regards,
Mark in Utah

I agree they emailed about the delay that was not expected, also had a slight problem with my Crippen Letter and they fixed! Great gals working there!

End of the month, and the monthly submission from AAC arrives right on time! The envelope contained a very nice autographed WSS shot of Paul Weitz. I'm a big fan of the Skylab mission (I can still distinctly remember seeing it glide across the night sky). It's interesting to compare this photo with the previous Weitz pic sent out by AAC (Weitz at controls in Skylab). In the first Skylab pic, Weitz's hair is dark, while his WSS pic has his hair so short it appears almost blonde! Gotta appreciate those relaxed haircut standards on the Skylab... I would definitely like more WSS pics from AAC.

Just got the latest mailimg.

And they are taking 2009 Club renewals now!

You get a nice surprise if you are one of the first 100, but hurry, it closes soon.

Just received a great picture of Dick Gordon looking young and fit doing ground training in a silvery space suit-- looks like Project Gemini. It's signed in black sharpie with a strong signature. I'm happy Dick is in better health (at least well enough to sign the 350 or so photos ASF produces).

Received today a nice photo autographed by Jack Lousma as the final installment in the 2008 Astronaut Autograph Club.

A big thanks to Linn Leblanc and Nicole Russ of ASF for this and other goodies!

I want to thank the good folks of the 2008 Astronaut Autograph Club for another great year! Just a terrific product supplied by a terrific organization that does great work. I'm already signed up for 2009 and for that I need to thank my wife!

Cliff
