Hi All:I sent my mahogany B-29/X-1 combo model to General Bob Cardenas (Pilot of the B-29 that launched the X-1 on 14 October 1947), and within one week received it back signed and inscribed "From the X-1 Team" by Gen Cardenas. He also sent along three signed metal data plates from his B-24, B-29, and Flying Wing assignments. The General would not accept a dime for his signature. It really meant a lot to me. What a gentleman. Rob |
