Hi allA quick question prior to setting off for the UACC show - I am looking to have a couple of the guests sign on 3x5 index cards to complete a particular presentation - however I am wondering if anyone can clue me up a bit as to whether there are particular index cards that it is better fo rme to purchase given issues of acidity, fading and the like... I'd appreciate any expertise anyone may have to offer. And should anyone also happen to have a Grissom and/or White on a clea (ie no lines) index card, I'd be interested ot hear from you!. None of the big archival companies (Light Impressions, Gaylord, or University Products) seem to have acid free index cards. Gaylord does have 8.5x11" buffered cardstock inserts that you could cut down to size (Gaylord.com , cat #GF-AIW11A, $9.50 for 50 sheets).I would suggest that you get a pH pen from one of the three companies listed above and test any cards that you want to use. I have found that most index cards are very acidic. |

www.demco.com has archival tags in a 3x5 size that are acid-free; they have a small hole punched at the end and a nylon string (they're meant for archivally tagging artifacts). If you don't mind the little hole, they would fit the bill since you can just cut off the string. | |
