Hello all- I am slowly learning about John Shorty Powers. Sounds like he was quite an important person in NASA's history! For those of you with a working knowledge of NASA autographs; is Powers generally considered a desired/rare/under/overpriced autograph? I would love to own one one day. I see that he passed away quite some time ago so I was curious as to the status of his signed items on the market. Was he a good signer? Also- did he typically sign 'john' or 'shorty'? Thanks all! Jay

Shorty Powers is hard to find and I too am still seeking one. I saw one listed on the NovaSpace auction and placed a bid of over $75 and still didn't meet the reserve price. Also there was one listed on Lunar Lagacies where he signed on back of a postcard that went for $45.If you find more then one please let me know. Thanks. Rick

I wrote to John "Shorty" Powers back in 1964 (true) but he never replied.
