Have any of you guys found there to be any difference between writing letters by hand and typing them. I have always hand written them, but is it really that important do any of you think? If I was to start sending typed letters do any of you think I wouldn't have the same number amount of success?

When I first started sending out requests, they were all handwritten. Then when I purchased my printer, I started typing them out. I also stated that I was doing them a favor by typing the request, due to the neatness issue. But I always thanked them for their time in my last paragraph and handsigned them.
I had the same success rate with the typed requests as I did with the handwritten ones.

Just my 2 cents.

Hello,
Mine are always typed, as my handwriting is not the neatest. My thank-you letters are actually typed, too, and hand signed. I have always had great success rates, so it probably doesn't have a bearing if they are typed or handwritten.
Heck, I even type personal letters---for me it is much faster to type than to write, and it is always neat and easy to read.

I have only sent out several request, so I can't say one is more sucessful than the other. The few I have sent were hand written but my handwritting is very neat. In fact I sent a letter to Alan Bean a few weeks ago and it was returned to me (with the autograph picture) with a note on it that said "beautiful printing, thanks for the business, Alan".
