This post explains how to contribute to the Neil Armstrong autograph study described on the front page of collectSPACE on Monday, December 29.Small items (8.5x11 inches and smaller) are best imaged by a scanner. 300 dpi JPEGs are ideal. Files may be compressed if you desire to reduce file size, however raw images are preferred. Do not worry about cropping, sharpening, etc. Limited edition lithographs and prints should not be removed from their frames to be scanned as they may accidentally be damaged. Instead, they should be photographed, preferably with a digital camera using macro mode. Please note in your email and/or the filenames how each signature was obtained (e.g. limited edition lithograph, through-the-mail, in-person, etc.) and the date (or range of dates) it was received as possible. Thank you for your assistance. [This message has been edited by Scott (edited June 29, 2004).] |
