PLEASE .... please .... please ..... stop your duplicate postings under multiple topics. I believe that I am very typical of most readers of these message boards and I read every new post. If you have something of interest .... we will find it. If your topic sucks, post it under every category and you'll still get no responses!! Stop jamming up all of the categories with the same old stuff ..... if you regular readers agree with me, then please post your responses. If not, then I will stop complaining about all of these duplicate responses!!
Best always,
Dan

Dear David:

I have a suggestion. I'm not opposed to the duplicate posts so much, but I am concerned that you post info. on Collectspace for an item you already have posted elsewhere, such as EBay. Some others do this as well, and many of the restr of us purposely avoid those items.

Many of our members will post items from time to time on Collectspace for the purpose of reaching this specific group of collectors. When someone posts here, then asks me to jump into competition among the general fray of anyone who might bid on EBay, I personally avoid even looking at the item, as with this item.

It is certainly your right to sell your item in the forum of your choice. Still, by using Collectspace to advertise an EBay item you run the risk of leaving an impression that you are not so much interested in selling to a member of the Collectspace community, rather you are simply using Collectspace to solicit additional bidders to go to an auction site to drive up the price of your item.

I'd suggest you consider using the Collectspace Buy/Sell/Trade forum to sell items. It's a fine place to sell. Or use EBay if you choose. But stick with one or the other. With Collectpace, you can simply post your item, name a price or ask for offers, and if your price is fair and the item is legit, you'll most likely sell it here.

If you post an item on EBay, trust me, those of us here who might be interested will see it on EBay.

This is not criticism...only a suggestion.

Lesson learned.

In the future I will not submit duplicate posts (especially related to an eBay listing). I saw a few others doing it and thought it was acceptable. Obviously I was perpetuating a bad practice.

I will refrain from this going forward.

My apologies

David

I am sorry if I am guilty of this. I have memory problems from and accident a couple years back and I quite often have trouble recalling things I have done past 1 hour ago. Thank you
