To mark the 70th anniversary of Russia's Baikonur Cosmondrome in Kazakhstan, an open-air museum is being installed at Gagarin's Start, the launch pad where the world's first human spaceflight began. From the state-run news agency TASS:
At the end of April, we revealed the first glimpses of the future open-air space museum in Baikonur.

The centerpiece is now installed: a 22-meter [72-foot] model of the legendary Soviet N-1 rocket. The Khrunichev Center created this model, the largest in the world.

Among the major pieces to go on display, all 1:6 scale, are Vostok, Proton, Cyclone, Zenit and Foton rockets.

All times are CT (US)
