I just had the pleasure of visiting the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

It is a terrific museum and if you have an opportunity to visit it, I highly recommend it. Well worth the trip.

The space stuff ("Gumdrop" from Apollo 9) is right at the door. I didn't realize Lindbergh's Medal of Honor (he was a reserve officer at the time he did the Atlantic crossing) is on display within sight of the capsule; don't miss that!

Just make sure you see both sides once you pass the big open atrium. I looked in one side and was on my way out before I recalled they were supposed to have a good WW1 collection. I went back to the back again and was so glad I didn't leave! The museum, from the front, looks very small. It's deceptive.
