A New Way to Enter Space at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has a brand new entrance and parking plaza!
In the recent years, we've opened new attractions, like Heroes and Legends and updated the look and feel of the visitor complex with a modern KSC Bus Tour and fully revamped Astronaut Training Experience Center Exploring with Lockheed Martin to reflect NASA's future missions to Mars. The new entrance complements all of these changes, welcoming you to a day of exploration.
Located off Space Commerce Way, it features six lanes with two automatic pay stations. As you approach the plaza, stunning views of NASA's massive Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), the Rocket Garden and the space shuttle's orange external tank and boosters greet you.
The plaza itself is designed to look like NASA's behemoth crawler-transporter, which carried the massive Saturn V rocket and the space shuttles to the launch pads. Now, it's being prepped to transport NASA's next rocket, the Space Launch System (SLS), to the launch pad in the near future!
Our new entrance is easy to access! Coming from Orlando, take 528 East towards Kennedy Space Center and Titusville. Take the exit for SR 407 and continue straight until it ends at SR 405. Turn right/east onto SR 405 and follow signs for Kennedy Space Center for approximately 7.5 miles/12 km. Next, turn right onto Space Commerce Way and go approximately 1.2 miles/2 km. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is located on the left!
