The Space Station Museum has partnered with event management company Nonplusultra Inc. and S.F. Recreation & Parks to present a new exhibit called, "Exploring Space."
"When people visit the Palace of Fine Arts, they will get to see the only large scale Apollo Lunar Module and Moon Buggy exhibit in California. This is also a tribute to Apollo astronaut, John W. Young, who was born in San Francisco," says museum co-founder, Ken Winans.
This admission-free venue will feature space artifacts and rare photographs from the extensive private collection of The W Foundation (operator of The Space Station Museum). Space education programs are also planned throughout the summer in the Palace's small theatre. This privately funded, volunteer staffed exhibit is open Tuesday – Sunday (10am-5pm).
Since its founding in 2011, The Space Station Museum has seen over 105,000 visitors and hosts an annual event called Novato Space Festival. The museum has also been featured in media such as The Travel Channel's Emmy award-winning show, "Mysteries at the Museum."
