There are several threads in regards to The Museum of Flight in Seattle, but they are all specific to a gallery or an item in their collection.I was wondering if there are any tips and advice any of you would like to share? The wife and I will be going up there later this summer. They don't have many space artifacts, but still seems like a fun place to go to. Thanks and please let me know! |

The Museum of Flight actually has quite a number of space artifacts, including two complete galleries (one of them opening soon) devoted solely to space exploration. The Charles Simonyi Space Gallery exhibits NASA's full fuselage space shuttle trainer, the Soyuz TMA-14 spacecraft, astronaut clothing, an orbital maneuvering engine and other artifacts related to the shuttle-era and future of spaceflight. And the new Apollo exhibit, opening on May 20, includes the first public display of recovered Apollo F-1 engines, the first Apollo command module to be delivered to NASA, the flight backup Viking Mars lander, moon rocks and more. The gallery will also include many items from astronaut Pete Conrad's personal collection. |

I visited the Museum of Flight about a year ago and I can tell you that you will definitely be glad that you went there. I plan to go back more sooner than later. | |
