U.S. Space & Rocket Center release The U.S. Space & Rocket Center® is looking for a few, good "heroes"The help wanted sign is once again in the window at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. It's time for us to start getting ready for the 2011 SPACE CAMP® and AVIATION CHALLENGE® camp seasons. Are you looking for a job? We could be looking for you! We require a minimum of 30 college credit hours completed in ANY major, a minimum age of 20 years, and some experience working with children or young adults will go a long way. In return, we offer paid training, flexible schedules, and the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of impressionable young people. We have dozens of jobs available as counselors at: - SPACE CAMP®, where you'll help us prepare the next generation of astronauts, engineers and scientists by teaching the past, present and future of America's manned space flight program,
- AVIATION CHALLENGE®, where students train as a military fighter pilot learning survival skills, leadership, and the code of America's finest, and
- AREA 51 ROPES COURSE, an extreme confidence building facility that teaches teamwork 50 feet off the ground!
Interested? Go on-line to spacecamp.com. Click on EMPLOYMENT at the bottom of the page and follow the links. You should complete the on-line application, and then come to the Educator Training Facility at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Wednesday, December 15, 2010, between 9AM and 2PM for our Annual Job Fair. You'll see the signs as you enter the property directing you to the correct location. Thousands of our graduates (and we have over a half-million) have told us their Space Camp experience changed their lives, and they remember their counselors as "heroes." Do you have what it takes? The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is gearing up for our 29th consecutive season of making a difference in the lives of others, and we're looking for a few, good "heroes." | |
