cS member Shalene, who is an educator at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, recently toured NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She shares her experience on the museum's blog. One of our Educators had the opportunity to visit the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. She took a few pictures and created this mini-tour highlighting one of the next missions to the red planet, Mars.During the tour, I went to the high bay room where I looked through the glass and saw the actual Mars Science Laboratory Rover called Curiosity. This photo was taken June 8, 2013 at JPL in the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) control room. I am sitting at the console of John Grunsfeld, Associate Administrator for the Science Mission Directorate. John and I visited schools together in Spokane several years ago. | |
