KOB.com: Park named for former NM astronaut
A former New Mexico U.S. Senator and astronaut was honored in Albuquerque Tuesday.

The Big Sky Hang Glider Park in Northeast Albuquerque was renamed for Harrison "Jack" Schmitt.

The county says it's a fitting tribute for the pilot and astronaut, since the park is a landing site for hang gliders.
